Rapid Gas-Sensing Detection of Carbon Disulfide by a CdS/SnS Nanocomposite-Based Cataluminescence Sensor

نویسندگان

چکیده

A CdS/SnS nanocomposite was prepared using a simple hydrothermal method and used as sensitive material for the detection of carbon disulfide (CS2) based on cataluminescence (CTL). The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS) photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). results show that sensor has high sensitivity to CS2 at relatively low operating temperature (162 °C); response time is about 3 s, recovery 16 s. modification CdS effectively enhances SnS sensors. CTL intensity shows good linear relationship gas concentrations ranging from 6.75 168.75 ppm (R2 = 09974), limit (LOD) reached 0.96 ppm. In addition, excellent selectivity stability towards CS2. mechanism discussed in detail. This research great potential

A cataluminescence gas sensor based on nanosized V2O5 for tert-butyl mercaptan.

This work proposed a gas sensor for the determination of tert-butyl mercaptan, one of the highly toxic volatile sulfur compounds, which was based on cataluminescence emission during its catalytic oxidation on the surface of nanosized V(2)O(5). The cataluminescence characteristics and the optimum conditions, including the morphology of sensing material, the wavelength of cataluminescence emissio...

Development of Single Walled Carbon Nanotube-Molybdenum Disulfide Nanocomposite/poly-ethylene Glycol Modified Carbon Paste Electrode as an Electrochemical Sensor for the Investigation of Sulfadiazine in Biological Samples

A rapid electrochemical analysis of sulfadiazine (SFZ) has been carried out by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods by employing a sensitive single walled carbon nanotube-molybdenum disulfide nanocomposite/poly ethylene glycol modified carbon paste electrode (SWCNT-MoS2/PEG/CPE). The SFZ shows anodic peak potential at 0.94 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) in 0.1 M PBS of pH 7...

TiO2 based surface acoustic wave gas sensor with modified electrode dimensions for enhanced H2 sensing application

The design and optimization of nanostructure-based surface acoustic wave (SAW) gas sensor is analyzed based on TiO2 sensing layer and modified electrode dimensions. The sensitivity of the gas sensor depends upon the type of sensing layer used and active surface area obtained by varying the aspect ratio. The performance of the sensor is observed from 0.1ppm to 100ppm concentration of ...

Compact quantum cascade laser based quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy sensor system for detection of carbon disulfide.

A compact gas sensor system based on quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) employing a continuous wave (CW) distributed feedback quantum cascade laser (DFB-QCL) operating at 4.59 µm was developed for detection of carbon disulfide (CS2) in air at trace concentration. The influence of water vapor on monitored QEPAS signal was investigated to enable compensation of this dep...
